Ash Teryslaÿ...the monsters. Ever since the Great War, the fairies of Vaerys had referred to the humans by that name. Elÿthene grew up calling them that. Why shouldn't they be called that? They had pushed the fae onto a tiny stretch of land, spilled the blood of many, and now their king was fading fast. They deserved the name. But when the fairy girl meets an outcast human woman with a young baby, she begins to see how similar their cultures really are.
