When Isabelle falls into a deep sleep something happens. She wakes up somewhere far from home in London. She wakes up in an institute and to the faces of Tessa, Will and Jem. Very confused she uncovers the secrets of the roots of the inhabitants of the institute and finds out that their not different from the inhabitants of the New York institute. Will she ever wake up or get home? Will she ever she Alec, Jace and Clary again? Who knows?

A mortal instruments and infernal devices cross-over... When a mad man wearing Victorian clothes turns up at the New York institute cursing shadowhunters and predicting their end and unleashes automans on clary and Jace. They need some help from the people who should of killed him this sending everyone from the London institute only from the 1880's All characters belong to Cassandra Clare.

Will gets attacked by a greater demon while out on a mission with Jem and he brings him to the one person he knows can help him: Magus Bane. Tessa shows up once Magus helps Will and insists on taking care of him for the rest of the night.
