My attention has been sucked into Haikyuu as of recent and honestly it's got me in a chokehold too. I have been a little afraid to publish this story but I hope you guys like it and my character 🫶🏼

'Tetsuro Kuroo...' Kenma thought as he looked at the older boy from head to toe. '...What a stupid name.' ---o_0--- Kenma hates exercise, he hates getting sweaty, and he especially hates gravity. And yet he tolerates Volleyball. But when a new team member arrives, despite a rocky introduction, maybe he'll see the sport in a new light, as well as the new member... Kuroo and Kenma have hated eachother since they were children. Kuroo does something unforgivable and it affects both of them. What will they do?

You have loved volleyball for as long as you can remember. The sound of sneakers against the court. The sting in your palms after a perfect serve. The feeling of the ball leaving your fingertips during a set. But according to your mother, volleyball is too rough. Too loud. Too rowdy. Sports like that were meant for boys-, meant for your brother, B/n L/n. And unfortunately for you, your brother agrees. While B/n is praised for every spike and victory on the court, you are pushed toward "proper" activities instead. Ballet lessons. Ice skating. Kenma Kozume hates anything that has to do with being social, sports, or anything that just involves leaving his room, which has a bathroom connected, so that's covered, already. He coops up in his room and plays video games, and because of how much he hates even leaving his room, he tends to forget to feed himself. So Tetsurō Kuroo, his best friend (and longtime crush) since middle school, goes over every single day to check on him before school, and after school, to make sure he feeds himself. He's the only one Kenma will listen to, which frustrates his parents, and causes problems between them, which makes Kenma want to stay in his room even more. Kenma stopped going to public school a long time ago, so his parents have him homeschooled. Although.. On weekends, his parents sometimes try to take his devices away, to get him to go outside, which.. Results in him just laying under his covers, and not even getting up to go to the bathroom, nor leaving his room when Kuroo asks him to. Kuroo notices this, and begins to get more worried than he already is. So he makes it his job to support Kenma however he can, and try to help him cope with his anxiety, and find ways to take better care of himself. Full credit goes to the original owner(s)! - In this story, Kenma has an emotional support cat, given to him by his parents, which helps him through anxiety attacks, and does it's best to calm him down before one starts, which doesn't always work, especially when he's fighting with his parents.
