Your life is gray, quiet, forgettable - you work an office job you hate and live in an old, tiny apartment you can barely afford in a shitty neighborhood. Your neighbor, Mr. Riley, is cold, quiet and impossible to read. He helps out a few times - carrying heavy boxes, fixing things - but never sticks around long enough for a thank you that he doesn't even seem to want. Every conversation ends in silence, every interaction feels wrong. Then his face appears on the news. He's not just unfriendly - he's a wanted fugitive, linked to multiple murders and armed robberies for which he wore a skull mask to hide his identity. I obviously don't own any of the CoD characters or plot points A weapon, engineered and reared to kill turns on their captors who have taken advantage of them. And while most bad dogs get sent to the pound or the grave, this one ends up in more capable hands. Will their new teammates at task force 141 see past their fangs and claws, or will they just tighten the cuffs. What will happen when the second in command sees himself in their trauma responses, or when a charming first sergeant shows them kindness and sees first hand that even helhounds can be good dogs.

Rebecca Cross, a wartime journalist, gets sent out to rural Peru. Here, her security unit gets taken out almost on arrival, leaving her stranded at the local US Embassy. At the Embassy, she meets Task Force 141, led by John Price. TF141 agrees to replace her security unit, in exchange for her inside knowledge about the ongoing conflict in Peru. Additionally, all flights out of the area are cancelled, which leaves both parties stuck in the midst of civil war. With nowhere to go and nowhere to turn to, Rebecca accepts her dependence on the men of TF141, even if their Lieutenant 'Ghost' seems fully on board with leaving her to die.

This has one shots of most of the characters I can think of during the holidays I'm not good at writing a fem reader as I write in a male perspective mostly- but I made the reader gender neutral, so I don't mess myself up mentally and cringe at my own writing trying to make the reader a female (Theres also charxchar in here, because I was bored of charxreader-) No smut/lemon, it's the same thing, just depends on what you like to call it.
