I do not own these Characters, these are simply John Green's characters, some of these ideas are mine and some of the idea's are John Green's. Before Augustus met Hazel Grace, Gus had a secret. Inbetween his relationship with Caroline and Hazel he had another relationship that no one else ever thought would happen. Now it's something barely anyone brings up. He was Isaac's first true love. It's something that Augustus can't remember well, but something Isaac would never forget. There was a few things I was certain of. 1. I wasn't sure if I was straight, though I have a beautiful girlfriend Monica. 2. I am loosing my sight due to cancer. and 3. I am in love with my best-friend Augustus Waters.

Six months after losing Gus, Hazel can sense her parents are hiding something. Isaac is pulling away from her, he is protecting his own secret, something too scary and confusing to even think about. When she finally finds out the secret, it is the best and worst thing that has ever happened to her. Her life and those of the ones she loves are on the line, will she give up her wonderful-tragic secret in return for safety, or will she be selfish for once in her life and keep her happiness?
