What if the fear of death is more illusion than truth? In this essay, I explore the roots of our dread of mortality-from existential anxiety to cultural coping mechanisms-and why that fear might be misplaced. Drawing on the ideas of Roman philosophers and my own experiences, I argue that death, in its unknowable nothingness, deserves no dread.

~ The water flows into your lungs. It fills your body with the strong taste of salt. The tide is strong and tugs you, further and further down into the ocean. ~ Hi there, I'm IcecreamWithKetchup.
