Thanatophobia: death anxiety. One of The darkest, deepest phobias you could ever get. Thus is just a thing on thanatophobia and the main character has it- it's not long and rather stupid with its narrative because it doesn't give full sad enlightenment to this phobia. What if the fear of death is more illusion than truth? In this essay, I explore the roots of our dread of mortality-from existential anxiety to cultural coping mechanisms-and why that fear might be misplaced. Drawing on the ideas of Roman philosophers and my own experiences, I argue that death, in its unknowable nothingness, deserves no dread.
