And then he woke up in an unfamiliar place. How strange is it, waking up in some random field? He soon found out exactly where he was: The Halidom of Ylissie. He recognized that name. He was in the world of Fire Emblem Awakening. He also had strange new powers now, too. Including the power to summon the mystical weapon, the keyblade. With no way back home in sight, all he could do was adapt and get stronger until he found the path home. It's a good thing he seemed to have allies in this new world. Maybe he could even avoid getting dragged into the main plot as he navigated this strange place and his new powers and duties as a keyblade wielder. Thus begins the story of the man who has taken on the name 'Genesis'.

Shortly after Grima's defeat, Chrom receives a letter from the Queen Hinoka of Hoshido. She requests assistance in freeing her county from the looming shadow of Nohr's conquest. Chrom accepts, respecting Hoshido's ideals similar of that to Ylisse. However, when they arrive, Lissa notices Cordelia, Tharja and Robin's husband Gaius are not acting themselves. They become more secretive, moody and defensive. Lissa is set on finding out why, and then shocking truths are revealed just as Nohr is about to initiate war again. "It may be your myth, but it's our past. And it's not a pretty one."

Feeling it wouldn't be best to go alone after what happened during the last visit, he requests for Gaius, Cordelia and Tharja to accompany him. While all three of them are initially unsure about going, they each agree to go with him for their own personal reasons. What does Chrom hope to gain from going again? Why is Cordelia flustered about returning there with Chrom? And what are the true intentions Gaius and Tharja have regarding to pair?

Things try to break them and people try to shake them, but when a whole country goes against them, it seems like they never get a break!
