Summer, 1977.
When seventeen-year-old Cassandra "Cassie" Miller moves to Point Place, Wisconsin, she expects a quiet few months spent sketching, collecting records, and missing the friends she left behind.
That plan falls apart the moment she hears music drifting from a nearby garage - and stumbles across three boys with big dreams, terrible coordination, and just enough heart to make her want to stay. What starts as a "just-for-fun" band quickly becomes her way in, and Cassie finds herself drawn into late-night jam sessions, record store runs, and endless teasing in Eric Forman's basement.
As the summer heats up, so do the emotions. Friendships blur into crushes, creative dreams begin to clash, and Cassie realizes she might be falling for someone she never expected. Caught between a band on the brink and feelings she's not sure how to handle, she has to decide whether following her heart will keep everything together - or tear it all apart.
A story about music, friendship, and first love, set against the glow of a 1970s summer where growing up means learning when to hold on... and when to let go.
