This book is about a girl named Macy J Charge whose parents got divorced when she was little, now lives with her dad n big brother but they're dad is never really around much. She has a boyfriend he lies and cheats, she's basically in a bad relationship, her boyfriend friend Damian ends up being there for her whenever his friend Carlon treats Macy like crap cause he hates how Carlon which is Macy's bf treat her but Macy tries hard to change Carlon but fails on all attempts and finally feels like it's time to let go. She ends up liking a guy Marion Kingsly who is Damian's cousin. Marion turns out to be a tainted heart too but she eventually changed him n her ex bf Carlon changed in the end too he changed for Dejaun's (Macy's brother) girlfriend sister.
