But if the situation arises, he's no stranger to violence if it threatens the safety of his closest friends. What happens when these two broken souls inevitably collide? When they help each other to pick up the shards, and become whole again? This is the tale of two teenagers fighting together against the world, and just happen to form a beautiful bond in the process. "I may be slow to getting to know things around here, but I'm not that slow." Tommy chuckled, "I mean I'm pretty sure half the camp has a crush on her but you're fifty shades of complicated." He rubbed the back of his neck. "You keep surprising me, Greenie. It's... just history now." He played absentmindedly with his fingers. "Why do you ask? You uh... have a thing for her?" "Gally would happily filet me if I did." I joked. He laughed but didn't seem fully at ease. "No. I don't have a thing for her, she's a friend." He nodded, with a silent radiant of pleasure. I broke and asked him about her, "Is it really history? I mean... ever since I noticed you two together, now I can't stop noticing it. She walks into a room and I feel like I have to remind you to breathe." He pulled a chair over and straddled the back of it. "You know when you're running through the maze and you're almost finished, you can see the glade and you have all this built-up adrenaline? You're sore, tired, sweaty but you still feel the last bit of energy to get you home? That's what I feel whenever I'm around her. It's like every nerve in my body wants to wrap around her, but I also teetering on the verge of the danger that would come with that." A year before Teresa arrived in the Maze, a girl was sent there as punishment. As lost as any other Greenie, Tobi begins to find her place among the other Gladers. Little does she know, her past plays a bigger role in the world than she could have possibly expected. This past helps her in her cause: to track Grievers.

What if it wasn't only boys in the maze? What if before Thomas, before the events of the films we all know and love, there was a girl? Would that change how our story goes? His only comfort is knowing that is longtime best friend, Teresa Anges, basically his sister, is moving there soon. He thinks it's all going to suck... until he meets his tour guide, Minho, and his friends, Newt, Gally, and Sonya.
