For the fans of the game "The Arcana", this is a small fan fiction about the life of the main character(reader) before the events of the game i.e., when Asra and reader meet at the masquerade to the events following the reader's resurrection. It's just around 3-4 parts long. hope you enjoy it. disclaimer: I do not own the game or any of the characters. This is fanfiction.

So I got a writing prompt one day, which was "Ambition can turn humans into monsters." ("Wow. What a lame writing prompt" you say? Tell that to my school.) Anyway, I thought Lucio was a perfect example of this, and I wasn't able to shake off the idea so here's this. It's basically an extended scene that fits within Lucio's tale "Dawn of The Grub" The app has visuals and flashbacks to tell us what causes him to go and make a deal with Pestilence. Instead, I decided to write what could possibly be just his internal monologue before he sneaks out of the settlement.

With December approaching, I thought it would be nice to make some Arcana holiday-themed oneshots. I will be writing for all of the main love interests which includes Asra, Julian, Nadia, Portia, Muriel, and Lucio. Down the road I might even make some for the Courtiers too. :)

Justin Skyward lives in a small shop that mostly gives out medical herbs, crystals, and small items. It's here where he learns under the teachings of his magical helper and master, Asra. Though his memories seem to be a bit scrambled, life is pretty nice, even if a bit upsetting with Asra leaves for weeks to months on end. It's during one of these trips that the strange hits the wall, and Justin now has to help out the countess Vesuvian find out who or what murdered her husband, Count Lucio. By himself at that, without his master there. If things couldn't get bad enough, seems there is more to the matter at hand. And his lost memories hold the key to them. Though, Asra isn't for him remembering them when he brings them up. Justin now is caught between six people, all having a story and possible being able to help him. But, who does he choose? And what affect will it have? ((So I've posed already 4 chapters upon uploading here, and really like this story. I hope you guys guys do! This is based on an game app you can play on your phone. So I really suggest you play it, the characters are great and so is the story.))

An AU based off of the Ads of the game. I can't explain more than that because it's just... inexplicable. All I can say is that it's bad, because it's supposed to be.
