For starters, she's a shapeshifter; meaning she can go from her true form of a fawn to her lesser form of a human in a matter of seconds. Second, she doesn't live in a castle, waiting for her prince to come dashing in to rescue her, rather, she lives in the forest just beyond a castle. She spends everyday learning about her forest and how to protect it from those murderous lesser-shifters that kill more and more animals than she can count on her fingers. But what if they aren't as bad as the elders and adults make them out to be? What if they aren't blood-thirsty beasts?
