A new short story based on The Mandalorian

I'm fascinated by The Armorer therefore I wrote this little story.

Years after the fall of the Empire, Dedra Meero is a woman fleeing her own ghost. Weakened but calculating, the former high-ranking ISB officer escapes the chaotic liberation of Narkina 5 only to crash-land on Kaelith, a remote, misty forest moon in the Outer Rim. Expecting execution when she is captured by a hidden enclave of the Children of the Watch, Dedra instead finds herself brought before the Armorer-the stoic, revered leader and master forge-smith of the covert. Where others see a war criminal, the Armorer sees a sharp, broken mind worth reshaping. What begins as a wary captivity evolves into a rigorous cultural rehabilitation, forcing Dedra to trade Imperial bureaucracy for the grueling physical labor of the forge and the uncompromising demands of the Mandalorian Creed. As the cynical ex-Imperial learns to atone through action rather than guilt, a profound mentor-apprentice bond ignites into a deeply passionate, slow-burn romance. Beneath the heavy weight of tradition and beskar armor, two women scarred by the past find an unexpected solace in each other's touch. But with New Republic hunters closing in and the shadows of Dedra's atrocities looming large, she must ultimately choose between running from her past or fighting to protect her new found family.
