Acts of disobedience is a fanfiction set in the world of "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. The plot takes place between events from "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" and "The Hunger Games" (first book). It start right before the beginning of the 20th Hunger Games. It includes two perspectives - Coriolanus Snow who has just became the President of Panem and Jay Lovewood, the girl from District 12 who becomes a tribute in the 20th Hunger Games. Jay is a character I invented after thinking about the later life of Coriolanus Snow and his relationships - in the trilogy it is mentioned that he has a granddaughter but we know nothing about his wife nor children so I wanted to explore this subject.

As the months pass, she, for the most part, holds it together. Until there is a close call and she discovers about his broken arm over the phone. It's just a broken arm, he insists, but he knows that is not the reason why she is beside herself. It is the thought of what could've happened, were he a second slower, in the wrong place at the wrong time. At least he is in one piece, he thinks, trying to scrub away the image in his mind of a man he once knew, who was breathing just days ago. Someone's son, someone's father. Some nights he barely has enough time to sleep and he dreams of some epiphany, of a single glimpse of relief to make sense of what he's seen.

Evangeline Honey's 'visions' became worse, more vivid, and soon she began to realize these were not just flashes of her own troubled past, these were flashes of a troubled future, a future directly intertwined with her childhood friend Coriolanus Snow and his tribute for the Hunger Games Lucy Gray Baird.
