Post Canon Alternate Universe - Where Coriolanus Snow makes DIFFERENT choices...and those choices lead to a different future in Panem. Starts at the point in The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes where Lucy Grey asks Coriolanus, "Who's the third?" - and he tells the truth. I wanted to explore the question that if Coriolanus Snow could change, what would that look like? In TBOSAS, he's always struggling morally with himself on what's "good/kind/selfless" or "ambitious/reputation/power". So I started a story about it. Very heavy focus on the psychological aspects of who he was in the Capitol, his internal struggles within himself, and how Lucy Gray Baird softens a hard-grown Capitol Boy. P.S. It's slow-burn, but the story really starts picking up in action around Ch. 11-12 after we've established our character & relationship developing. Some AU Details: The Covey are joining Lucy Gray and Coriolanus in their flight into the wilderness. I think it just works better if I have more interactions to work with. Hope you all agree! This is based after Lucy Gray. Coriolanus Snow reluctantly agrees to mentor again for the 11th annual Hunger Games. This time Mentoring a girl from District Four. He meets his tribute the same way he did Lucy Gray, but she's nothing like Lucy. She isn't like the other tributes either. Anya Monroe isn't afraid of death. She doesn't care whether she wins or loses.

Sejanus attempts to stop the games from carrying on and informs Coriolanus of this plan. Conflicted, Coriolanus refuses him at first but his growing sympathy for Lucy Gray and the other tributes makes him agree to help. Of course, Sejanus has been in love with Coriolanus for years, and the new closeness between them makes these feelings hard to hide. Specifically a silver jubilee later, almost as if a sick twisted joke from fate his granddaughter was now the President of our Nation. She made it her life mission to not only rebuild Panem and The Hunger Games but to ameliorate them as she put it. It had been a quarter century and still Cassia Snow had been affected by the rebellion of the Mockingjay. She wanted to punish Katniss Everdeen for the destruction she had caused the Snow family, The Capitol of Panem, and the everything they had worked for. Acts of disobedience is a fanfiction set in the world of "The Hunger Games" by Suzanne Collins. The plot takes place between events from "The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" and "The Hunger Games" (first book). It start right before the beginning of the 20th Hunger Games. It includes two perspectives - Coriolanus Snow who has just became the President of Panem and Jay Lovewood, the girl from District 12 who becomes a tribute in the 20th Hunger Games. Jay is a character I invented after thinking about the later life of Coriolanus Snow and his relationships - in the trilogy it is mentioned that he has a granddaughter but we know nothing about his wife nor children so I wanted to explore this subject.
