The musky air of Gotham City revolves around you, breathing in the air brings back that sour feeling of nostalgia. Growing up in Gotham wasn't the ideal place for a young child to spend their early days in. Crime is everywhere, the horrendous feeling of having to protect yourself 24/7 consumes you when you're that young. Eventually, you get used to the crippling feeling and sometimes it even feels exhilarating. Now, 28 years old, working as a waitress in a shithole of the city; surviving is the only thing that matters. And if sacrificing everything for that one special person means surviving, then why the hell not?

~ SPOILERS FOR THE BATMAN 2022 ~ this is an alternative ending for the batman (2022). i dislike how the riddler randomly chooses to blow up the cities seawalls and disagree that it furthers his plot line so i am choosing to write my own. that being said i still adore the movie entirely and do not mean this as a way of saying i dont nor as a way to bash the movie. this is also my first full story ive ever written outside of school so i would appreciate some patience as i get it out and with some punctuation and spelling issues i may accidentally leave in. thank you and i hope you enjoy.

After the events of the flood, Bruce and Edward are given a Subway: Eat Fresh start. As they uncover their feelings for each other, they unintentionally uncover the underbelly of Gotham's crime rings.

Blaze had ended up on the streets of Gotham alone after the Riddler's flood had killed their family. They had expected things to stay the way they were, with them pick-pocketing people and breaking into places for somewhere to sleep and food. They honestly didn't really mind the way things were going. Could it better? Yeah. But it could also be worse. Then Blaze stumbles upon a secret that changes their life and world... something they hadn't meant to do. °~◇~° I literally came up with a random title.
