Naphtali and the Theban Legion are humanity's last hope to restore order. Pages of this manuscript - written by Naphtali, enlisted in the Legion as a humble servant - contain many holy adventures of the Legion; the demons battled, evil men thwarted, relics recovered and lost, and worlds traveled. The True Story of The Theban Legion: According to Eucherius of Lyon, ca. 443-450, the Legion of Thebes, Egypt quartered themselves in the western part of the kingdom until the Roman emperor Maximian ordered them to march to Gaul. The empire needed reinforcements against rebels from Burgundy. Commanding the Legion was Saint Maurice (Mauritius), Candidus, Innocent, and Exupernis (Exuperius), all currently venerated as saints by the Catholic Church. At the Swiss town of Saint Maurice-en-Valais, then called Agaunum, Maximian ordered the Legion decimated, condemning every tenth man to death for refusing to worship him. The men of the Legion swore never to honor a man before God, so Maximian's punishment of decimation continued until none were left alive.

Calais of Thebes: fearless, genderless, shapeshifting, even invisible sometimes. They are the child of Hades and a Thebesian nymph-woman named Carissa. They have legendary battles and a legendary curse. They travel throughout Greece to save it from fearsome monsters and devilish creatures. They are the greatest hero Greece has ever known. Calais is a character I created for a class assignment. I had to create a divine hero and write an origin story and a battle story for them, so the first chapters of this book will be those stories.
