Luke had drifted throughout much of America. After going home to Wisconsin he decides to hitch hike to New Orleans to escape winter. There he opens a squat, where several other street kids eventually decide to stay. While squatting in New Orleans Luke faces various trials which way heavy on his soul. Trials like pairing up with a gunslinging black man, and facing off with a man eating rat.

Scarlett only vaguely remembered her father. Her mother took her away as a child but now her past is calling her back. This story is about reuniting. Finding comfort in family and finding power. Defeating inner demons and letting go of the past. Learning to fight for someone, even if you have to conquer your worst fears to do it.
