This is a story about a girl named Aerith Pérez. Aerith originally lived with her mom, her parents being divorced since she was 3. She moved with her dad when she turned 13. Her dad has a girlfriend, who is now Aertihs step-mom, named Mandy Sidorov, and a step-sister named Annabeth Sidorov. After Aerith moves in with her dad, she doesn't even get to to settle in, as they all move to devour California with no apparent reason or benefit. Aerith now needs to adjust to this new place, and meet even more people.
