I gazed at him through the mirror and held his gaze with a fiery scowl, trying to pretend that I hadn't just cried few moments before he entered. "I don't need your protection, so you might as well leave." A smirk formed in his face and without hesitation, he pulled me closer to him by the waist- my back pressed against his chest and the only reflection in the mirror was me reaching a few inches before his shoulders. "You know, that even if I tried I could never let you be, so stop pushing me away-" with a hand, he pushed the hair away from my neck and leaned his chin on it; his lips brushing my skin "and for heaven's sake, don't you dare ever again lie to me about your pain." I turned to him made contact with his dark orbs.
