So we all know what happened during the series but what happened to the brotherhood after wards? Or more intriguingly,what happened before? This fic will tell a side of a story that we never got to hear. What the young Brotherhood was like and what they did a little after post-series. WARNING: will contain some angst,probably some ppl getting touched without consent,and maybe a small amount of smut.

Picking up a year after the events in "The Last Laugh" everything was going back to normal. Damian Wayne (Robin) back with the Titans and Heather Todd (Batgirl) their newest member. With the Joker dead, everything was in utter chaos due to everyone trying to claim territory because of the Joker's absence. Batman calls for the help from Damian and Heather once again when a new company opens in Gotham. The natural born ran in what is called the Brotherhood steeped in tradition, the turned ran in packs and were thought to be lower than the natural born because they couldn't understand what it was like being born into such a powerful line. The only problem was that no woman has ever run a Brotherhood and there is strong dislike of the idea amongst the old world werewolves. Now she must prove herself worthy. Varian and Hugo go to Old Corona after their long adventure through the seven kingdoms. Varian has to introduce Hugo to his father, when his father also has some old friends he needs to introduce as well.

He created a machine that can locate mutants when their powers are manifested." "Ok, cool. So why did you look for me?" She hesitates. I've visited the asylum since our apparent "mother" sent her away, just because she couldn't control her. I gained hope when the Professor said we were breaking mutants out of Overbrook Asylum, where she was being kept.

Quirin has to find out what Varian did eventually. Varian also has to find out what Quirin did; who the brotherhood is, and why he's not a part of them anymore. The past, dreams, and reality, blend together more than some may think. (For all those who like Varian's canon redemption, but who are looking for some more could-be-canon angst.)
