Leila Courson met Lucifer during the Apocalypse in 2010 after being called to arms by Bobby Singer and his surrogate sons, Dean and Sam Winchester. Having been a friend of Lucifer's first chosen vessel, Leila found comfort in dealing with the Devil who decided to pick her as his 'representative of the human species'. It was only a complicated relationship which followed. When he returned to Earth, six years later, it only got much more complex. Once a year twelve people are out in this arena we now call "The Cage" they all go in at the same time, sometimes no one comes out, sometimes only one or two. So Sam came back from hell, but with out his soul Cas brought in a bunch of Leviathans from Purgatory Uh, they lost Bobby And then Cas and Dean got stuck in purgatory Sam hit a dog Uh, they met a prophet named Kevin They lost him, too Then Sam, underwent a series of trials in attempt to close the Gates of Hell Which nearly cost him his life And Dean-well Dean became a demon A knight of Hell, actually So Sally had a baby boy, Perseus Azazel let him feed off him Uh, they had to house a demon And then Percy and Lucifer became one He went to camp They lost that demon Then Sally, underwent a few deals in attempt to get her sons soul back from the Cage, which cost her life And Percy-well Percy became a demigod A hero of Olympus, actually

The four horsemen, Death, Famine, Pestilence, and War begin to slowly find one another to bring upon the apocalypse and the ultimate destruction of mankind. But their plans are soon put to a screeching halt when the people who represent the Seven Deadly Sins, Lust, Gluttony, Sloth, Pride, Wrath, and Greed slowly begin to find one another and use their newly found powers and abilities to stop the horsemen from releasing Lucifer out of his cage and stop the ultimate destruction that is sure to come if Lucifer is released. But there is just one person they are missing to stop everything, Envy who is nowhere to be found.

Castiel hears Lucifer praying to him from the Cage. At first, he is suspicious, but could it really be that the devil himself is calling for help to get Sam out? It takes a while for Castiel to take his decision on whether he should believe Lucifer or not. Part of the in the Cage series, stories can be read as one-shots, but I recommend reading in order for the best experience. This fic will contain themes and mentions that may be triggering, please read the warnings and tags I used and proceed at you own discretion. This fic is dark, please exert caution. English is not my first language so I apologize in advance for any mistakes. I am not done watching all the episodes of the show so I would like to ask for your understanding in case I got anything wrong.
