In Boston, 1776, war is brewing as a girl falls in love with her brother's best friend. He loves her as well, and everything seems like a perfect fairytale. When the boy is arrested for defending his beloved, he is offered two choices: to join the Continental Army or go to prison. Before he leaves, Benjamin promises himself to Katherine and promises that as soon as he returns, he will marry her.
