I recommend reading the first book, The Warren's Assistant, before this one. The Warrens officially adopted Cora. She is now a 26 year old demonologist. Cora starts doing major cases again. She's done some smaller ones since the Perron family. In the Perron family case, Cora made herself believe that she isn't brave enough to do this job. How will Cora's belief in herself change?
