Everything goes according to plan on Stella's life. She is in college pursuing her dream of becoming a film editor, she has the best group of friends she could ask for, she has an amazing support system that she can always count on. Her life is next to perfect, right? At least that's what other people think. It all changes when she meets a mysterious boy in a deserted hallway of the library. She is drawn to him and wants to learn more about the troubles of his heart, the pain in his eyes and the history that those tell. The only problem: He is very skeptical and doesn't like to surround himself by people. Her objective: Break the walls of that fascinating human that stands before her. She needs to descipher him. She wants to help turn that sad look into happiness. She needs to take the pain away from the lonely library boy, who claims to go by Corpse.

This fanfic is a collaboration between myself and @PrincessChan326, who also created the art. It is a semi-crossover concept in which Vincent Valentine of FFVII has a similar affliction as The Corpse Bride (movie). It also stars Princess-Chan's OCs and includes some other franchises. Please be advised this story contains graphic descriptions of violence and themes of abduction. Though they like each other, Victor is nervous about the ceremony. While he's in a forest practicing his lines for the wedding, a tree branch becomes a hand that drags him to the land of the dead. It belongs to Emily, an Everglot ancestor who was murdered after eloping with her love and wants to marry Victor. Victor also discovers a forgotten feud between his and Emily's families that dates back generations and could affect his relationship with Emily. When he is punished for a crime he didn't commit, he must get back underground before Emily is arranged to marry Lord Barkis Bittern. Can he do it in time, and will his feelings for Emily affect his marriage to Victoria?
