This is just me updating my thoughts. I call them flaws because they are not perfect. They are meant to be poetry but I didn't learn enough literature so pardon my mistakes. Corrections would be appreciated #3rd place winner in the poetry category of the dark awards 2018

A moment on the street, feeling the cold metal against his warm skin, and the second- Newt is in a new place, new home, new surgical bed, and new people who tell him that he is safe now. There is no WICKED anymore, mazes, or trials. "The Creators" and "Rat man" nightmare is finally over, although they would be lining on the door if they had the chance to know about the miracle of the "Superstes." Newt now has to deal with his past: his pre-WICKED past. Didn't he always , like all gladers in the glade, want to know who he is and go back home? Sounds good until now; however, the reality is not as it's expected. Surviving is a thing, but living is a complete different fight. So, will the survivor be able to live? A fanfiction based on James Dashner's "The Maze Runner" book series.

When we went up to our room, she was shaking all over, and when I cornered her against the wall, she started struggling, Oh, how she fought, I even got a scar on my arm from where she scratched me. Though, when I got her over to the lynch, she started begging for her life. For redemption. When I removed the chair from under her, I saw how her legs tried to find footing, and her hands trying to ease the choking. I saw the last breath leave her body, and the moment her body went limp." He looks over at the six of us, then back at Mila, "I may not kill them as slowly as I did with her, but you will get to see their final breath, the minute their eyes lose their life, and the fact that you are the reason they are dead." ♦︎ Mila thought that she could finally get a normal life, the moment her crazy ex-boyfriend was locked up behind bars. But Mila didn't know back then, that when he was away more trouble, and secrets would arise.

I felt my tears freezing up as I cried. How did this happen? How did the unsinkable ship sink? he paid for her secrets with a faked insanity. she's grieving, but not for the reasons they think. everyone thinks he's a murderer, and she would never say otherwise. after all, he killed her brother. didn't he?

As Rory Bradford, a twenty-four year old woman who had been previously known for her incredible problem solving skills, found herself making the biggest decision of her life, she discovered that she wasn't particularly good at solving her own problems. On one hand, there was the man that she was engaged to; Noah Cadwell, who checked all the boxes on the 'man-of-her-dreams' list. Sadly, as she realized only days before the wedding, they weren't able to connect romantically, their relationship purely platonic from her end. However, this train of thought was only one sided. Noah, being oblivious to the doubts Rory had been having, thought that their wedding was going to be the best day of their lives. Clearly, he was mistaken. On the other hand, there was Sadie Copeland, a co-worker of Rory's at the law firm. She was the complete opposite of Rory. Where Rory loved planning, Sadie lived for spontaneity. She was the opposite of what Rory was looking for, including the fact that she was a woman. So, after feeling a whole new range of emotions and desires with a woman that she had never felt with a man, Rory was forced to reevaluate her sexuality, which she had never allowed herself to question. Rory couldn't help but wonder if she had accidentally found the woman of her dreams. So, when the identity that Rory had previously worn as a badge of honour began to crumble, she became determined to discover who she truly wanted to be. I write to inspire! Someone told me to.. Grab a pen! Write your story No matter how short or long it may be.. As long as you have expressed yourself, it's more than enough. At least, it takes the weight off, lessen the pain and strengthen you more. There are countless memories in my life in which I am grateful of. But only one have marked and stayed in my heart and soul. I called him "Someone" This someone has inspired me to live my life to the fullest. He said I am loved and blessed. This someone was brave enough to embrace everything about me. Someone taught me to write and let go all of the things going on my mind. A few would appreciate while some wouldn't. We were both glad to have each other and how we face life with no fear not until he left. I wandered around until it was time to go. I carried out all lore from "Someone". I promise, I would not stop writing! There's no one can stop me because I know "Someone" is within me.

His emotions are dead. In life, he's the son of a CEO, socially ostracized and addicted to self-destruction. In his head, there's a vibrant city, where he exists as someone worth saving. He meets a girl at a nightclub and somehow she's been in his mind palace too. But he doesn't know her secrets...and she doesn't know the extent of his sociopath tendencies. It all comes back to his city, but something is darkly wrong in the reality he's created. His brother is a kpop idol, too cynical for his profession but unconventionally talented. He knows something of the cracks in their city, and he knows a solution. But he has dreams too, and they do not involve the happiness of anyone but himself.

John lives in a future run on smoke and contamination, where the freedom of thought has become an antiquated concept. Upon finding a note that tells him to "follow the arrow," John is lead into a natural sanctuary, and the sanctuary will force him to realize the deeper mechanisms of his world and himself.
