After murdering the Putneys' and departing from Vanessa Ives, the Creature John Clare has sworn off mankind. Seeking solitude he saves Monica Everlast, heir to Obsidians Estate and Farming, who has a tough time doing business in a man's world. After an act of kindness, Monica employs John. Both are drawn to each other's melancholy past. But behind their newfound love lurks a sadder truth, John Clare's past life, his death and how he came to be the Creature. A Penny Dreadful AU (alternative universe) fan fiction. I do not own the characters John Clare/The Creature, Victor Frankenstein or Bartholomew Rusk. This takes place after Season 2 finale.

Some could say I'm a guardian, some that I'm a demon. Even in the oldest times we were called angels. Those exists but aren't nearly close to what we are, because what we do in this god forsaking company is not exactly for the sake of humanity, and we don't do it for a "good cause", we do it because it's our job. The only thing that could make us equals with the angelic creatures is that neither of us had a choice but to do as our upper classes told us to do. Because we're different from all the others. We were born for a reason, but only one, and that's what keep us going. I call bull shit. He is just trying to do his job as he usually does. Not able to conplain. And he just wants to prevent that exactly. So he can win his personal prize. The destiny for both of this persons got involved, "fate" has reunated them for a reason that couldn't be more perfect for one, and more troublesome for the other. It all started back in kindergarden when a shaggy brown haired boy moved from Russia to Colorado and joined Lindsey Park Elementary School. This very quiet, black clad boy, who went by the name of Aleks, had peaked interest in the entire class, including the five menace boys. James, Jordan, Daniel, Eddie and Seamus sat at the back of the class mindlessly playing videogames under their desks, somehow going unnoticed by Mrs. Hanson. Of course the boys knew this new kid would be an excellent member of the group based on his black minecraft hoodie he wore everyday. And soon Aleks had developed close friends... although some were closer than others.

Wrong. They're just about all you see. Isn't that convenient?
