To solve this problem, Culling is introduced, a humane way parents can remove their children by transmitting their spirits onto a digital database. Trace is a misunderstood boy who has a talent for getting into fights. Rayne is a girl who must be removed from the picture so her perfect little sister can thrive. Together, the two must fight against the world for their survival. As they struggle on, they encounter more harsh realities, and must answer the question: What is the real evil?
