When a virus kills 90% of America's children and gives the remaining 10% supernatural abilities, all hell breaks loose. All under 18 is sent to rehabilitation camps to work and suppress their abilities. But some are too powerful to be controlled... Callie Gardner has spent the last six years of her life confined to the grounds of the Thurmond, carrying a secret so explosive that to bring it to light would be to write her own obituary. She is an Orange, and all Oranges are supposed to be dead with the Reds. When she finally escapes camp and finds herself on her own in the wilderness of West Virginia, she runs in to Liam, Chubs, and Zu, fellow teens on the run from the corrupt government. Together, they run from bounty hunters, rummage for food, and try to find sanctuary in East River, all while becoming family along the way. (This is just a fun little play on the Darkest Minds series :). It has the same premise and characters (Except for the original protagonist and other minor original characters), but the events are different and so are some elements of the plot. Enjoy!

I just had this idea on my mind, after reading the darkest legacy, of Ruby and Liam building haven, their life there, their life with the kids. (The are secretly married, don't fight me) and I just wanted to write this, I couldn't find any stories about it, so... I hope you like it and it warms your rubiam heart. I started writing an I guess fanfic about Ruby and her tragic life after everything. This story is before the Darkest Legacy after Into the Afterlight. This is how Ruby deals with everything. It is incomplete but, if I continue is up to the people who read it. Yeah so... I'm just gonna put it here.

Spoilers for The Darkest Legacy by Alexandra Bracken!! Basically an extension of TDL, but written by me. Prologue Part 1 & 2 are Ruby's POV and the rest is Zu's POV because we need more Rozume than we got. Rubiam, Chida and Priyana are in this book, I won't break them up because that's too much to handle, and yeah! Enjoy! All characters belong to Alexandra Bracken, so do their backstories (Unless said otherwise in an author's note at the end of a chapter).

Darkest mind fanfic

Sam didn't think things could get worse at Thurmond rehabilitation camp. Then the Reds arrive. Everyone assumed the kids with firepower had been killed years ago. Instead they were taken away, brainwashed, and returned as terrifyingly effective guards. To her horror, Sam recognizes one of them: Lucas, the one spark of light in Sam's dark childhood. Lucas has a deadly secret-he beat the brutal training that turned his fellow Reds into mindless drones. When Sam defends herself against an attack by a vile PSF guard and faces a harrowing punishment, Lucas must risk his everything to save her. The ending of the original story by Alexandra Bracken is horribly depressing so I decided to give it a much more hopeful ending. Fortunately, the next part of the story is out now and it offers a whole lot more closure so this alternate ending is no longer necessary but it's still a better alternative than the real tearful ending! No copyright infringement intended.

The Darkest Minds fanfic. Hopefully third time lucky cause all my other fanfics sorta failed. Stella was 10 when IAAN started. She was scared. Everyone was scared. When she didn't die, all the adults presumed she was a psi kid like the others. But she was colourless. She didn't have any abilities. But she was still shipped off to camp like the others. Stuck with the blues in camp can she escape? I'd like to see her try...
