Does anyone still read Crane fiction? If so, this is the first of many parts. I have an entire novel plot in my mind. Feedback is much appreciated. Story basically begins five years after The Dark Knight Rises...

Eight years ago, I was saved from the Joker by Batman. He saved me, but not my mother. I was orphaned, with no family to turn to. The only one I had was my savior, Batman, Bruce Wayne. He could've sent me to a home, given me to a foster family, but instead he took me in. Now, Gotham is in ruins. Alfred is gone, and Bruce. . . Well, I just hope he's not dead. The only one I have is John Blake, one of the few believers in Batman.

Ten years after the Dark Knight was last seen, Gotham City is overrun by chaos. A team of villains ruling over a city that is bringing itself to the point of self destruction, goodbye Gotham.

This story is about Talia and Bane's time in the League, the journey that leads them to Gotham's front door and about a young girl who changes both of their lives forever. A blessing and a curse. *** A/N: 've never written Talia before or a pre-movie fic. I know some people don't like Talia/Bane, so note that this isn't necessarily a romance fic. The story begins roughly around April 2003. Using The Dark Knight's release date as a starting point for the timeline. The Dark Knight, 2008. So the end of Batman Begins takes place in the year 2007, meaning Ra's dies in 2007. The Dark Knight Rises is 8 years after the Dark Knight, so 2016. Talia becomes Miranda Tate in 2011. Twenty years pass after Bane's failed attempt to pulverise Gotham city. Bruce Wayne returns 10 years prior to his migration to find out that the new arkham asylum which is built as layers below the normal city, thrives as Joker's palace of crime. Old and weak, Bruce fights against the injustice for long but fails miserably. Joker who escaped after Batman abandoned Gotham, kills Gordon and jails several innocent civilians in the newly built arkham asylum. A child is born in that darkest layer of Arkham. Born to an innocent couple, the child is grown with the meagre meal that is dispatched by vacuum tubes in the cell. The joker kills his parents due to other lack of sport.
