After the portal Sam ends up in a completely different place than her cousin and she panicks as she runs into some of Walter's minions. Soon Walter Padick takes an interest in her and her gifts, knowing she is a sorceress, and technically his equal. The only one that can truly match him in existence. Roland, in his long and restless life, had met a lot of people. And, as people normally are, they were all unique. And, as his life often enforces, a lot of them had died at his hand. One memory of a unique person who died at his hand won't leave him be until he gets the tale of their short and bitter companionship off his chest. This is that tale. In this series from the recognized horror author, the plot involves a gunslinger who's chasing a man, who is a bit mysterious and the antagonist of the novel. A lot of events happen in this story, where the gunslinger has to catch the other mystery man, so they questions and events can be answered and solved.

This is a short story set in Stephen king's dark tower universe. I wrote it one evening for a bit fun early March 2016. This is no way endorsed or authorized by Stephen king or his publishers. It was an idea I had about the different dimensions and timelines that run through the tale.

A glimpse of Roland's further adventures after the end of the seven novel "Dark Tower" series. In another turn of Ka, on another level of the Tower, we follow Roland as he's forced again to decide between saving Jake or catching the man in black. The first 368 words of this are taken word for word from part four of the original publication of "The Gunslinger", while the rest was written by me. I should point out that I did not outright attempt to copy the narrative style of Stephen King, so I hope you enjoy the sudden jarring shift in styles midway through.
