50 years after the ashes of WICKED fell, Thomas finally crosses over, expecting the quiet peace of the Safe Haven's promised afterlife. Instead, he finds a lush valley dominated by the Great Tree, and Newt, having a pair of massive, feathered wings but still carrying the heavy limp of his past. But heaven is not as peaceful as it seems.

A rewrite of Newt's death scene - but with Newtmas. :) It's quite sad, quite cute, just a one shot. Based a little on the song, 'I Love You Like An Alcoholic' by The Taxpayers, but only a little, because it fits the scene, but not perfectly. Warning - mentions of suicide. Everyone is given their memories back, but Newt's memories are not what he thought they would be. The gladers have to fight through one of Wickds trials once again, but the thing is they don't know that they are in a trial. Wicked will do anything for a cure even tearing apart friendships. They take Newt and make him do and see the unthinkable. Will the gladers friendship be strong enough to survive through this.
