"I can't let everyone live; they'll catch on."
Henry Carlisle has been a physician for, well, almost 900 years. As an immortal with healing magic, the hospital makes him feel alive, like his long life is worth something.
But in a modern world that has either killed or forced almost all immortals into hiding, Henry must blend in with the human physicians if he wants to continue living among them. And that means letting some patients die for the sake of his cover. Hundreds of years of blood on his hands, though, is taking an irreparable toll on the fabric of his sanity, no matter how many patients he has saved.
Will Henry lose himself in the throes of guilt for sacrificing a few lives to save more in the future?
