The Drifter moved through the jagged remains of an abandoned valley, each step slow and deliberate. His chest burned with sickness, but he did not stop--survival had become instinct, not choice. The world was empty, dangerous, and silent... except for a sound that should not have been here. A soft, urgent cry. He froze. Will The Drifter will protect the child deeper to the darkest or The Drifter will die and left the child alone?

「 ♕ 𝗗𝗘𝗦𝗧𝗜𝗡𝗬 𝟮 𝗫 𝗥𝗘𝗔𝗗𝗘𝗥 」 ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ " 𝐬𝐧𝐢𝐭𝐜𝐡 " to secretly tell someone in authority that someone else has done something bad, often in order to cause trouble. ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ You swore allegiance to the Vanguard and swore to carry out any mission. This time around, Zavala had assigned you with a task to find out Drifter's secrets, to become a snitch on behalf of the Vanguard. But, who knew you'd actually start developing feelings for the man they call the Drifter.

What if Arjun learned about all that was meant to happen? What if they learned of the Gardener and the Winnower? What if they learned all that had ever happened was nothing but a game between the two forces, and decided to lash out? What if they decide to change the game, and change the tides of the universe itself? Art is by me :)

"I'm just a Titan who punches stuff for a living." Being alive for the best part of a century usually affords one wisdom and a sense of grace but for Adrich. . . well, it just gave him a list of things to do. Connect to all three paths of light. Punch one hundred Awokens in the face. Fight at the Twilight Gap. Simultaneously get Shaxx and Zavala to yell at you. Become one of the strongest Titans in your chosen subclass. Steal a Hunters' cloak without them noticing. It was a pretty long list and he'd ticked most of it off out of sheer boredom. But when The Drifter called in one last favour he owed, things started to get interesting. The task was simple. Take out the last remaining Archon of the House of Storms and bring The Drifter its head. Simple enough. His Fireteam was up for most of anything and could easily take out one measly Archon from an almost dead Fallen House. But when in the history of being a Guardian was anything ever that simple? During a time of vast suffering and terrible evil, many survivors formed colonies in the wilderness in a desperate attempt to live. Humanity was on the brink of extinction but out of it, the Traveler sent out Ghosts to look for their Guardians to protect the last of mankind. However, some of the earliest Guardians chose not to protect the world, but subjugate it, becoming Warlords. One of the many famous Warlords was Lord Shaxx, who worked to protect the civilians within his care instead of vanquishing them. Guinevere Bradshaw was one of the many last survivors and just like them, she was ghostless. Shaxx found her in the woods, injured and trying to fend off some Fallen. The Warlord took her in and gave her an opportunity to prove her loyalty to him by working in his palace.

Arjun has been considered "The Guardian" for quite some time. How does holding such a title affect a person? After coming out of the Red War, Arjun realizes that they've got some discovering to do, and some growing to commit to. Basically a Destiny 2 story (or collection of stories) with some Destiny 1 references. I could've written out the Destiny 1 stuff but honestly I'm too lazy so you get the tidbits. Enjoy! Also the title art is my own :) P.S: This work is now no longer canon and will not be continued as I want to do a rework of Arjun and Gwaine as well, so this is out there for fun more than anything else. I may or may not rewrite a story for the characters, but we'll see if I'm still interested in Destiny by then! Either way, Enjoy
