Duff. One simple, 4 letter word that has the potential to severely ruin someone's entire high school experience. Every group has one; the most unattractive member of the group who is also the easiest to talk to, therefore making their friends more appealing. But Hayley Bloom learns that being the duff isn't always so fun, and maybe, just maybe, being yourself could be kinda cool.

Samantha was an art nerd. At least, that's what her friends call her. She never limited her friendship circle to just art people. She loved everyone, except the twins, Erin and Jack. Jack was the star football player, captain for his entire high school career. Erin was the star of basketball. Sam doesn't usually hate people, but ever since Erin won an art contest by cheating, Sam has never looked at her in a friendly way again. Erin obviously has better things than to think about that art contest. She didn't even keep the piece of art. Erin has to worry about other things, like her boyfriend and basketball. Jack doesn't even realize that Sam hates him. He's probably the nicest person you'll ever meet. It's Junior year now, Sam is trying to get her portfolio for schools ready. What happens when she accidentally starts a series on Jack?

Dress Code. Every school had a dress code. Schools that did not have a dress code have only succeeded in finding a way to lie to their students about not having a dress code.Don’t try to deny it. Dress Code was a cruel way of separating students with the money to buy the newest fashion- hence the “Ins”- and those who didn’t, otherwise known as the “Outs”. It made Emily sick. So this year, she had a plan. This year was going to be different. #TheDUFFContest Entry

#TheDuffMovie I'm simply a teenage girl. Teenage girls are trivial, but at least I'll admit it. When you're about to enter high school, labels matter; well, at least they seem to, but then you realize that having a label is like having a wound, if you're not popular. If you just get past the pain you feel from having it, it's like it doesn't exist, and soon, no one will see it when they look at you. But if you let it hurt you, everyone will see it because you'll make it obvious that it's there. Maybe it's time that I, Lillian Jones, show the popular kids what it's like to have a big, gaping wound.

Ever since I was born I have been labeled. This is the story of me breaking my stereotype. Don't ever let anyone tell you who you are. The only thing that truly defines you is your DNA. There is no label or stereotype in the world that can define your awesomeness. This story is based on my experiences. Any names in this story are fake except for mine. No matter what your going through please stay strong. -Belinda
