"You and I both know this ends in blood." In the new world, you needed to be detached. It is survival of the fittest. You shoot to kill. Initially, it was known as the Blood Fever. A flu-like virus that had been spreading rapidly through the Western Hemisphere. It didn't take long to realize that a global, catastrophic extinction event was taking place. On May 21st, 2009, an international broadcast hit. The announcement that the virus had found a way to activate the brainstem upon death, resurrecting the hosts from the dead. Now, two years into the apocalypse, Drue Slater remains alone, with only one rule she has managed to survive by: people are not to be trusted. Trusting people meant caring, and caring got you killed. That is, until she runs into a shadow she can't seem to shake. Luke Cooper. With severe wit, outrageous plans, and next to no survival skills, Drue wonders how anyone could remain so optimistic in such bleak circumstances. Who knew that life could still be considered something worth living even in the face of death?

{short story} She had only known him seven days but somehow, he had become her everything. Somehow, he had changed her perspective on the world entirely. What she once thought to be a gloomy, dingy city, was in truth, pretty and wonderful. And it was all because of him. She thought him to be the most beautiful human she had ever met. Maybe it was his hair, or his eyes, or his laugh. But there was something about him that captivated her. Something that drew her in. She knew from the second she laid eyes on him seven days ago that he was her soulmate, and she was his.

a.k.a. How We Managed To Save The World from an Apocalypse that was Totally Not Our Fault. In a world in which superpowers are the norm and wishes really do come true, Juniper is just wishing for an extra five minutes of sleep every morning. When she and her super-intelligent roommate somehow manage to survive the apocalypse, June finds herself plunged into - sorry, can I help you? What- Hi guys. Please ignore that first paragraph, the author clearly has no idea what she's talking about. I'm June, this is Lin and somehow we're not dead, which is saying a lot since we've seen the end of the world. Twice. But you're not here to feel sorry for us - you're here to watch us somehow manage to save the world on two cups of coffee and even less sleep. Buckle up.

It's happening, "Misty 47692420", the asteroid WILL strike. "The End of the Wold" headline reads at the bottom of every news station. Hysterical reporting comes from every mainline news source, but for Jasper there was a comfort knowing it was all coming to an end. Finally.

Have you ever heard those stories about the end of the world? you never thought they were real right? yeah, that's what I thought too but then he outbreak happened. Scientists created an injection but it has unique and dangerous chemicals that were deadly and that's what caused the outbreak. they didn't want to create this virus, they wanted to find a cure for the flu but it went terribly wrong. the virus created people, no not people, monsters. monsters that would tear your flesh with they claw like nails and their fanged teeth. nobody expected what was about to come, not even me. everyone thought they would be prepared, but boy were they wrong. 75 percent of the entire population across he globe has been infected with this virus. I'm so lucky I survived long enough to reach a safe route called destiny. it's like a camp, tents, fire, RVs parked everywhere, how a normal camp would look like. there are walls, huge walls surrounding the entire camp. there are a few people including myself. I've became friends with some of the members of the camp. the people here think they're safe and we wouldn't be near any of the infected, but no where is safe, some of the members haven't even seen one of the infected up close and personal. I honestly don't think everyone here is going to survive once we leave these walls once the camp gets overrun. This is the end of the world.
