ALTERNATE NAME: Captured This story takes place after Of Sorcery and Snow (The Ever Afters #3) and before Of Enemies and Endings (The Ever Afters #4). However, you can read it even after reading the last book. It's just that the events from that book didn't happen yet. Certain things have been changing Rory and Chase. Does Rory like Chase? Dude, she doesn't even know. Does Chase like Rory? More likely than not. But this is not your average love story. This is a very short fanfiction of how I imagine Chase Turnleaf could have proposed to Rory Landon after the fourth and final book of The Ever Afters series, "Of Enemies and Endings." As a fanfiction of my favorite book series, all rights are reserved to Shelby Bach, the author of The Ever Afters series, and the creator of the beloved characters, Chase Turnleaf and Rory Landon.

Chase should've been more surprised to have an overnight mission on Christmas Eve, but considering their recent luck, he really, really wasn't.

In all four books of The Ever Afters series (by Shelby Bach), we all got to experience the adventures of the Triumvirate in Ever After School through Rory's perspective. We got to know exactly what she was thinking as it was happening. But, what would happen if we could see it through another perspective? With the thoughts of someone else? For example... Chase Turnleaf's? This book is basically a compilation of scenes/events that happened in the books but in Chase's point of view. 1) Attention (A certain scene in Of Giants and Ice) 2) Falling (Chase and Rory going up the beanstalk in Of Giants and Ice) 3) Stay (Chase and Rory in the Glass Mountain in Of Witches and Wind) If you have any specific scenes/events in mind, please tell me! So personally I don't think there is nearly enough EAS fan fiction out there. Seriously, I love Shelby Bach's books and not nearly enough people have read them. This is probably going to be a short fanfic but it could be longer depending on how I like it... Obviously I don't own any of the books in The Ever Afters series, blah blah blah, Shelby Bach is my fave, etc. I hope that was enough of of a disclaimer for all of y'all. It's two weeks after the end of the war and everyone thought things were fine now. Three Days ago Rory Landon tossed and turned unable to sleep and when she finally settled down all that greeted her was terrible nightmares, she awoke in a fit breathing heavily and feeling anxiety and detached from her body adding to her panic as her brain conjured up images of her sitting on the bed with her knees curled to her chest Hyperventilating as monsters from Solange's army emerged from the shadows poised to strike. Rory knew it was just in her imagination even so it took her almost fifteen minutes to calm down and she didn't sleep again for hours after, but she forces herself not to tell anyone what happened and in the short span of three days the panic attacks have only gotten worse. Chase turnleaf couldn't be happier, the war was over and Rory was his girlfriend they had gone on one date already and were about to have their second, yet during the date Chase couldn't help but notice Rory was acting strange, stranger then usual that is, well anyway she wasn't acting quite like herself. This is my first story and it's been awhile since I read the books so hopefully I don't write any of the characters wrong. I'm trying my best to make a good fan fiction both for you readers and for myself so I will do my best and feel free to comment criticism but try to keep the language clean when you can I would appreciate it! It's two months after the war with the Snow Queen ended. Life at EAS continues, and Rory accepts that while everything may not be the same as it was before, she would continue to grow and adapt. So basically just answering the question of "what happens after Of Enemies and Endings?" Chaurora, a bit of Kylena, just a smudge of angst, but mostly humor (I think) and lightheartedness. R&R! If anyone wants me to write more, a separate story or continuation of this one, just let me know and I'll do my best to oblige!
