In early 2000s New York City, an 18-year-old children's pizza restaurant waitress finds her world turning upside down when her 12-year-old younger sister and her new group of friends get zapped by robots and become teenage superheroes during a trip to the Fun World theme park. The incident then causes a major outbreak at her New York university, causing the entire school to go into a riot, thinking it would be the end of their society.

A group of 20-something students in early 21st century New York City start fearing their society would fall apart when one of the students' pre-teenage sister and her friends become superheroes while on a trip to an amusement park.
