Both Sam and Sirius have 'families' if that's what you would call those pure blooded prejudiced maniacal monstrosities.They are the Silvergrasses and the Blacks part of the Sacred Twenty-eight. And Sirius and Samantha don't want to have anything to do with that. So they can be considered similar. Their friends Elizabeth Malfoy and James Potter that are considered 'Blood Traitors' and Remus Lupin the Werewolf. Not to mention Lily Evans the Muggle-Born.

Selene Tussand had made her friends, Remus Lupin and Sirius Black, swear that they would never mention her to anyone. She no longer wanted to be associated with them.
