Nancy is best friends with Bucky and Steve. They grew up together, they are childhood friends, but sadly they must separate as Bucky and Steve join the army and she has to stay in Brooklyn, waiting for them to return. HYDRA and RedSkull look at Steve's and Bucky's files, searching for an easy weakness, an advantage for him to help him defeat Captian America once and for all. He looks at photos to see if there is anything, and then he spots it. An old small-town newspaper from Brooklyn. The front-page is honoring a trio for saving the local cats from fire. On the photo are scrawny Steve, Bucky, and a girl covered in soot and ash, grinning proudly. Nancy Jones.
