Adelaide O'Reilly picks flowers every Sunday morning after her run to bring to her fathers grave. It's the routine she has grown to love after her dad died three years ago. At his grave she tells her dad about life, relationships (or lack thereof) and everyday struggles. Another shard reflected in the distance, the vibrant orange glittering in welcome. For days Analiese had been chasing the glint that forever seemed to be just out of her grasp. She knew her way about the mountains like the back of her hand but while chasing the shard the world around her changed, becoming far rockier and deadly than she remembered. Perched atop it all was a single cavern. Deeper than imaginable and the blackest of black during the day it scared away all shadows at its presence. Inaccessible by humans her prize lay in wait, teasing her. Mocking her for her inability to approach. There was two things that she did receive though. A scale that was far larger than her hands baring the same brilliant orange she chased daily and an entity that wishes to steer her down a veiled path. One night it can be taunting her, displaying it's odious behavior while the next night he can be as suave and charming as any male thing could be. Warning her of the dragon of orange or dancing away the night as he hummed some macabre tune. In return her family life has changed drastically, her father is constantly pressing for her to settle down while refusing to tell her what has happened to the former metropolis not even a mile away. In no way is she aloud near the citadel she is sure is the cause of everything. From the creature named Saber to the reason that a pair of brothers watch over the isolated town as if it's a prison. It was simple curiosity but this fairytale won't have a happy ending like everyone wishes. Everything that can go wrong will go wrong. It all started with a scale. It will end with bloodshed and broken souls. Bones and skin are for those weak of heart. The best way to destroy anyone is to take what they care for most and play with it. After all, everyone's heart is glass.

What's the difference between liking and caring for someone? Is it worth the risk?

The tale you know is only half of the story... You were told that the dragon was slayed, the beauty was awoken with a kiss of true love and they happily ever after. This is a sad, personal poem I suppose I've written I've never shared my writing before but I thought I'd give it a go.

Fiera. Aqua. Atmos. Terra. The entrances to the Greater Realms have been opened and as a result, four chosen ones are tasked to be the keeper of the escaped Souls of the elements every century. This task should've been easy for the present chosen ones, except that a circle called Quarter Five plans to get the four on their side and release the Souls back to the Realms, threatening the balance of the world and risking the lives of humanity. Now, the four chosen ones will face a decision, discovering where their loyalties should lie and the truth behind their duties. Always remember: "Nemo est tutus in hoc mundo." No one is safe in this world.
