Cardan used to bully Jude throughout all of their school lives. Now Cardan is famous and has life threats at his door, in his house. He hires a bodyguard and it so happens to be the girl he used to bully: Jude Duarte. They are much older now but is the bad blood gone, if it is, will it come back? Or maybe someone else's blood is being spilled?

This fanfiction takes place in a period between the "Wicked King" and "Queen of Nothing" books by Holly Black (And so it should be known that all of the characters are hers). While we know what Jude was doing when spending her time in exile, no one really knows what Cardan, the person responsible for it, was doing. This story is my personal take on what could've transpired, including when he wrote letters to Jude, told from Cardan's very own point of view.
