This story takes place during season 2 episode 20 of The Fosters when Callie was thinking about getting emancipated. Will Callie go live with Robert? This starts about two weeks after the adoption and Brandon and Callie are trying to find what happened. Callie is shutting brandon out with a brother sister relationship and something more. Will their love win or live their lives distant forever?

Callie had everything, a good family, great friends, and a stable home. Until, two years ago, Callie's parents were killed by a drunk driver. After the accident, Callie had no family able to take her in, forcing her to go into the Foster system, after being in 5 different foster homes in two years, her social worker decides it's best for Callie to stay with someone she's known, who just so happens to be her mom's best friend, Stef Foster. Who lives in the country, and moving from the city with big buildings to a farm with barns is a big change for a girl who once had it all. Callie quickly bumps heads with Stef's son, Brandon. With Brandon convinced that Callie is a spoiled, stuck-up city slicker, he refuses to have any kind of interaction with her. Until fate comes along has them both locked in the barn for a night. Will Brandon see that Callie isn't as bad as he thinks? Will Callie open up? Will they maybe find something between each other that they never thought was possible?

As time goes slowly by, Callie starts to realize more and more everyday that she has not fallen out of love with Brandon. Not even close. But she's afraid to tell him, afraid of giving in and losing this family. Because yes, she needs a family, but she can't help but think that she may need Brandon, as well.

No one wanted the messed up kid from juvi. But when he somehow stumbles into the Adams-Foster household, his opinions on want, need, or otherwise get turned upside down.
