The tittle

One year ago...a little girl met a grumpy ghost. In a feeble attempt to scare the girl away, the ghost cursed her, saying that he'd haunt her all her days! But the curse backfired and became more of a curse upon the ghost than the human herself. Overtime, the ghost bonded closer and closer to the little girl; until he finally admitted just how close they were. They were best friends, for all eternity. So here the two are, an entire year later! The curse that bonded the ghost to her side had been broken months ago. But the bond that they shared had only grown stronger. The name of the ghost was Scratch, and his best friend's name was Molly. Molly Mcgee. Regardless of the curse being broken, Molly feels inclined to celebrate the anniversary of meeting her bestie for all eternity. And she's determined to make it a day that she and Scratch will never forget! What could possibly go wrong on such a grand occasion?

Todd 'Scratch' Mortenson has been living more recently than he has the entire last decade of his life! He's been to Chicago, Tokyo, New Zealand -sure, he hasn't gone everywhere yet, but give the guy time! He'll get there- and the best part is, he's reunited with his best friend, Adia Williams, and they are now traveling the world together, place by place. However, when a surprise meteor shower begins to bring old memories to the surface, it awakens something within the man. The meteors start a domino effect; small objects start to float off of furniture without reason! Glass cups start spontaneously shattering! And every so often, Todd's body glows in the dark! If that wasn't enough, a strange branch of undercover government had their eyes on all of this supernatural activity! With no other choice, Todd and Adia are forced to look for the one lead they have on these bizarre occurrences: a Thia-American red-haired girl, a girl appearing vividly in the dreams of one Todd Mortenson. What is happening to him? Why is he having these dreams? Can this girl help them? WILL she help? And is he truly ready to face a side to himself that he didn't even realize he had?

READ FULL DESCRIPTION FOR CONTEXT: The McCouncil is an AU made by @WindowsInUrMom on Twitter, aka ME~ The basis of the AU is "What if the Ghost Council, and the McGee's swapped?" In this fic, there will be chapters either based off the show, or just my own ideas. - So the roles are as follows: Molly McGee : Sir Alister Darryl McGee : Grimbella Pete McGee : Bartholomew Sharon McGee : Lucretia Scratch : The Chairman Libby Stein-Torres : Geoff Andrea Davenport : Jinx Everyone else is the same unless stated. - Answers to common questions: "What is the McCouncil AU?": The McCouncil AU is an AU of my creation, based on the idea on what would it be like if the Ghost Council was the McGee's, and if the McGee's were the Ghost Council. I also swapped Geoff & Libby, and Jinx & Andrea, so there would be more variation, and to make the swap more poignant. "Are the Ghost Council/McGee's the same as in the show or are they different?": The McGee's taking the role as the ghost council and vice versa are different from their normal counterparts. The McGee Council are not related, which was a deliberate choice. Since they're not family I imagine their trauma never really healed since they couldn't bounce joy off of each other. But in the case of the Ghost McGee's, they are related. So any potential trauma's healed/didn't occur (Alister is the clearest example of lack of trauma, Pete would be the clearest example of trauma-ed). "Does the Chairman as Scratch, and vice versa, talk?": For this fic, ghost Chairman will, but in the technical workings of the AU I am not actually sure. On one hand you can't really have the same vibe from the Chairman if he did talk, but on the other it's a struggle to have a character that's basically mute take the place of a very talkative and vocal character. For Scratch, for the fic he will not, but in the workings of the AU he it is also unclear.

Everything seemed wonderful in Scratch's afterlife. He used to hate somehow still being alive even after death, for he was a ghost, but ever since he met his best friend, a young, 13-year-old girl named Molly McGee, his entire afterlife turned around. He suddenly didn't regret being a ghost.
