Ever since Chloe was 10 she and her best friend Sophia have had a list of rules for best friends: Rule #1: Don't steal your best friend's boyfriend. Rule #2: Don't steal your best friend's crush. Rule #3: Your bestie's relatives are off limits. Rule #4: Don't get jealous because of your best friend. Rule #5: Stay besties forever and don't let anything come between us. 5 Simple rules right? That is until Chloe makes friends with a boy named Asher and Sophia tells her that she has a crush on Asher. Sometimes when Asher and Chloe hang out, Chloe talks about Sophia to get Asher to like her back. Over time Asher develops feelings for Chloe but keeps them a secret. Chloe also develops feelings for Asher but doesn't understand what they are yet? When Chloe finds out what her feelings towards Asher means she keeps those feelings locked away and try to fight the feelings to keep her from breaking rule #2 on "The Girl Code". What will Chloe do about her feelings? What will Asher do about his? Will Sophia find out about Chloe's feelings? But most importantly... Will Chloe break 'The Girl Code'?
