Her parents both die unfortunately literally just a couple hours after her birth into the world. As a result of her becoming an orphan, one extraordinarily powerful and extremely known hero took her under his wing. He swore to her parents to raise her like she was his own child, before him and the baby girl disappeared without a trace with the help of a powerful being. The hero was searched for restlessly by his remaining friends and even the gods themselves, but he made a promise and wasn't going to break it so easily. The child grew up in the mortal world, as far away from the gods as possible or anything related to them. Yet, she knew more than she let on. It wasn't until they moved to the wrong location, catching the attention of some old friends, that things got more complicated than they already were. And that's when she was discovered. I do not own Percy Jackson and the Olympians or the Heroes of Olympus.

After Apollo gets punished and is sent down as a mortal, Artemis follows shortly after and ends up going to Percy having decided to choose him as her "master." She has to serve for at least 4 years...all of this because she tried to protect her idiotic brother from the wrath of her father. Now she's separated from her hunters who are now spending the 4 years at Camp Half-Blood. When she arrived at Percy's place, he was mess.

The Gods and their children react to the Lightning Thief, the first in a series of books that will both let them know about Percy's life and about the consequences of the Gods' behavior on their children. The silver circlet was made to curl around the crown of her head and dip down onto the centre of her forehead. The jewel on her brow was the same colour as her eyes.
