Lo busca entre clases, se le acerca en los pasillos, se sienta a su lado sin pedir permiso. Siempre encuentra una excusa para estar cerca, para hablarle, para invadir ese espacio personal que Miles normalmente mantendría cerrado para cualquiera. Al principio, Miles responde con frialdad. Contesta poco, lo mira como si quisiera mantenerlo a distancia, pero nunca lo rechaza del todo. Y eso es suficiente para Boris. Con los días, la dinámica cambia. Boris empieza a notar cada detalle de Miles: la forma en que su uniforme cae sobre su cuerpo, cómo se marcan ciertas líneas bajo la tela, cómo sus rulos suavizan una expresión que sigue siendo difícil de leer. Esa atención se vuelve cada vez más intensa, más constante, hasta transformarse en una especie de obsesión silenciosa. No puede dejar de mirarlo, de acercarse, de encontrar pequeñas excusas para tocarlo: un roce en el brazo, un gesto en el hombro, una cercanía que ya no parece casual. Miles, por su parte, se acostumbra. No porque entienda del todo lo que pasa, sino porque nunca antes alguien había insistido en quedarse. Boris se convierte, poco a poco, en su primer amigo. Y aunque no siempre responde con palabras, su forma de permitir esa cercanía lo dice todo: no se aparta, no lo detiene, no lo saca de su espacio. Y Miles... simplemente lo deja quedarse. Porque, aunque no lo diga, ya no está solo.
