Actually the kids hate their dad, because he hurt Audrey (their mom). The two kids have to live now in Las Vegas, and their life will completly change. This is a fanfic from the (once) popular novel and movie: "The Goldfinch". It was popular when it released, but not so much anymore. I'm sure you at least know the ship "Boreo" that is the ship of Theo/Theodore and Borys. As well as the fact they drink (specifically because of Borys), hence why I put vodka. You may be asking (if you haven't read the book): "Why sandalwood perfume?" Well, it is described that Theo/Theodore's mother wore that perfume a lot. Which is why I put it there in the title, as it is relating to Theo. Some of the things, while not mentioned in the movie, are mentioned in the fanfic. ^_^
