A journalist embeds himself in the life of a viral influencer at the height of his fame. What he finds isn't scandal. It's infrastructure. As brand deals multiply and "collaborations" replace people, the system quietly prepares for the next face. When the influencer dies, the story settles fast. Too fast. Filtered isn't about cancel culture, fame, or morality. It's about how visibility is managed - and what happens to the people inside it. A modern Gatsby for the algorithm age. --------------------------- This work is designed to be read alongside Fitzgerald's novel as a contemporary companion-one that invites students to examine how enduring literary themes adapt to modern systems of power, visibility, labor, and class. No permission is required for classroom use, excerpting, or distribution for educational purposes.

Listen, we all know Nick and Gatsby are seen by a lot of people (including yours truly) as very homosexual. And anyone that knows me knows that I struggle with bringing myself to write predominantly sad stories. So for now you, dear reader(s?), and I can pretend that Daisy was a little better at driving, Gatsby came to terms with Daisy being out of reach (and with his own sexuality), and instead of us interpreting Nick and Jay as gay for each other, they are very, very explicitly gay for each other as they find when they spend more time together and away from the deceit of people they once thought of more kindly.

A pretty high school girl, Daisy Buchanan, navigates her new school, new friends, and relationships. She finds love, heartbreak, and some hot male leads. Does she choose her Tom, or her Jay? Retelling of The Great Gatsby, potentially spicy, and dark, but starting off mild because I made them freshmen, so they're gonna act their age for the first little part. Thanks! - Rosie :) *TW- Unhealthy relationship depicted, signs of abuse, not super great guy, a little dark. *images are mostly from Pinterest and do not belong to me!

It's a story you've heard before. Late into a humid summer, Audie Carraway returns to Buchanan. She has one outfit in her suitcase: a funeral dress. Two months prior, her cousins Nick and Daisy come to Buchanan as they do every summer. But for the first time, they are watching their family fall apart, they are haunted, and they are increasingly alone. History, if nothing else, repeats, and this is a story that has already been told.

So far this is just the new prologue and epilogue but that's fine because that's the bulk of the additions. Literally it's just The Great Gatsby but Nick Carraway makes taxidermy from animals. Literally nothing about the main plot changes besides this little fun fact about the most reliable narrator ever

A story based on the events of F. S. Fitzgerald's amazing novel, "The Great Gatsby." While the characters might seem similar in their personalities and style, the story is not a simple copy of this work of literature. It's a series of new events that take place in 1920s in Long Island.
