ENDS OF THE EARTH
Faelwen has spent her life walking roads most people never know need guarding.
Raised between two inheritances-Dúnedain blood and the fading grace of the Elves-she followed in her late father's footsteps and became a Ranger of the North. With sharpened senses, an Elven-forged polearm at her back, and far too much sarcasm for her own good, Faelwen has learned how to track monsters, survive the wild, and hide every wound that cannot be stitched.
Then the Orcs begin moving strangely.
Following their trail farther east than duty usually carries her, Faelwen enters the shadowed reaches of Mirkwood expecting answers.
Instead, an arrow kills the Orc she needed alive.
And the irritating Elf responsible happens to be Legolas, son of Thranduil.
Legolas has known the Woodland Realm for longer than Faelwen can comprehend, yet the mortal Ranger who walks through his forest with Elven grace and absolutely no respect for his title proves far more difficult to understand. What begins as suspicion becomes reluctant cooperation, then friendship-and, slowly, something neither of them is prepared to name.
But darkness is spreading through Middle-earth.
A company of Dwarves is approaching the Lonely Mountain. An ancient enemy is stirring in the south of Mirkwood. Kingdoms will fall, dragons will wake, and the years ahead will carry Faelwen and Legolas to opposite ends of the earth and back again.
For Faelwen, time has always been precious because she knows it will run out.
For Legolas, time has never needed to matter.
Until her.
Because loving a mortal means accepting the ending before the story has truly begun.
And sometimes, the things destined to end are still worth choosing.
A Legolas x OC slow-burn romance spanning The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, following canon from the spaces between the pages.
