The Blight has ended. The Breach is sealed. The mages and templars are at a standstill, waiting on bated breath for the newly crowned Divine Victoria to exact her decree. For the first time in twelve years, Thedas is quiet, but the heroes that have rose from its strife and war know all too well that the only calm Thedas is associated with is that of before a storm. When a mage queen powered by revenge embarks on a rebellion to pluck the last string tethering the mages to an ancient oppression, Thedas is once more torn asunder. Standing upon the precipice of change, the leaders of the world are forced into a choice - fight this change with every fiber of their being, or leap into the abyss?

Scenes between my warden (Nessa Cousland) and different companions set within the game that add on to the narrative of my Cousland's story. I may eventually end up turning this into a full Dragon Age Origins novelization, but for now it's a planned collection of one-shots. When a fabled Grey Warden visits the alienage on Seren's nineteenth birthday, she is forced in to fighting beside humans: her sworn enemies. She never thought she'd come to like a human being. That is, until she meets fellow Warden Alistair Theirin. Together, they will have to unite Ferelden in time to stop the Fifth Blight from ravaging the lands.

~Disclaimer~ I own no rights to Dragon Age, Bioware etc or the characters (with the exception of my own characters) I wrote this scene after watching the ending of Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag where (to avoid spoilers I'll leave out names ;) ) a woman sings an Irish folk song - The Parting Glass. I wrote this as a One Shot, but I'm not sure where it will go, I could make a whole fan fiction with it, I might add it in to Side Effects of the Blight, I might leave it as a One Shot. I don't know yet :P

I adore Dragon Age so much! So I have chosen to write a story with the wonderful Alistair Theirin. I would like to note that I do not own the picture posted with the story, credit goes to whoever made it. (I actually don't have time to find who artists are as most pictures were found on google, but if you do know please say who it is and I will go through the necessary precautions.)
