The War of heirs or Dance of the Dragons was a civil war during Targaryen rule of the Seven Kingdoms. A war of succession between Aegon II and Rhaenyra over their father Viserys I's throne, the war was fought from 130 AC to 132 AC. Dragon for Dragon Aegon's claim was based on the fact that he was the first born male of King Viserys while Rhaenyra's claim was based on the fact that Viserys had named her heir to Dragonstone and the Iron Throne and that King had supported this decision until his last breath. Aegon was crowned at Kingslanding in front of all the people, some calling him usurper and others recognizing him as Rhaenyra who was crowned with the crown of Jahaerys and his father Viserys from the hands of his daughter Visenya II Targaryen and Ser Erryk at Dragonstone. The kingdom divided into two camps, brother against brother, family against family and dragon against dragon. Despite the attacks of the greens Rhaenyra tried to keep the kingdom in peace at the request of his heiress Visenya, Daemon did not agree with this, Luke had to be avenged. The death of Jahaerys, the first born of Heleana, shook the kingdom; war had begun for the greens, Aegon, Rhaenys and Daeron were ready. For the black rock's rest was the point of no return with the death of the one who maintained the balance of the kingdom, Visenya II Targaryen. Rhaenyra declared war and called for Dragonriders for Vermithor, seasmoke and silverwing while Daemon and Aemond gathered an army in Harrenhal, Jacaerys and Lyanna asked for the help of Cregan Stark. Alicent and Aemma were imprisoned in Kingslanding, deterring the black people from attacking them as the people revolted because of taxes and hunger.

A Game Of Thrones rant! My thoughts on season eight of Game Of Thrones, the long-awaited final season. The good, the bad, the ugly. The show that defined the last decade. WILL CONTAIN SPOILERS FOR THE ENTIRE SHOW, INCLUDING AND ESPECIALLY, SEASON EIGHT!!!

Rhaenys Targaryen was the second born child to King Aerys Targaryen and his sister-wife, Rhaella. She was born 10 years after Rhaegar and 8 years before Viserys. She was 12 when her father wed her to Jaime Lannister, and right before Rhaenys turned 13, she welcomed her and Jaime's Son, Daemon Lannister-Targaryen into the world. Nearly 2 years later, Rhaenys fell pregnant again, only for Robert to rebel against her father. During the Rebellion, Rhaenys is taken by Lord Eddard Stark, him saving her and her children's lives. She spends her life dealing with the vipers at court, and giving Jaime the children he so desired.15 years after her family was torn apart by Robert, she is told by her personal messenger that her little sister Daenerys, was wed off to a Dothraki lord. Rhaenys is more then displeased, but that displeasure soon fades when she finds 3 dragon eggs turned to stone laying in a box beside her bed. She had spent 17 years playing the little wife, and now, she would rain hell upon those who have wronged her. "Rhaegar was my brother, and I loved him. Yet in his final moments, I grew to hate him for what he had done to Elia Martell and Lyanna Stark. Rhaego didn't die. Curses and prophecies aside, our dragon babies were still hatched in Drogo's funeral pyre.... Basically, everything in this story is the same as how it happened in the show, except for the fact that Daenerys had her son along with her for the ride. Mostly anyway. I mean, it's not like he tagged along when she flew off on Drogon and was captured by the Dothraki. Other characters dead in the show may also show up eventually too... I'm not entirely sure of how quick/slow time passes in the show, so I made Rhaego be five (almost) at the beginning of this story, even though it starts at the beginning of season 7. This is my first GoT story. Ever since that horrid final season, I couldn't just let my ideas sit in a folder on my laptop. I've had sooo many ideas since season 7. This is only one of them. I'm simultaneously writing like five different stories at once. For now though, this will be the only one I will publish, since it's the first idea I had and the one I've written the most for. The others will come eventually. I just want to add more to them all first. I hope you all like this. It's much more positive and lighthearted than what we've gotten from the show. It's sort of been my therapy. There will (hopefully) be weekly updates every Monday. If not, the latest will be every 2 weeks, but I'll make sure to let y'all know if there will be a delay longer than that. However, this city is not as nice as it seems, and naïve Ciara learns that change isn't the only thing she has to fear. Ciara may be smart, but in order to survive, she must adjust to the political battleground of the Red Keep.
